Description
While reading info about the viceroyalty of Perú I decided it was about time I drew colonial María Isabel and Raquel
The viceroyalties of New Spain and Peru were the most important ones in America, as they were the ones with the most outstanding economy and social, politic establishment by the Spanish. They were Spain's spoiled girls
Isabel (Perú)'s dress is inspired from the "tapada limeña" without the cloak covering her face img.docstoccdn.com/thumb/orig/… . I found out this fashion tendency was followed from women of high and middle class during the 300 years of viceroyalty, so I thought it would fit her nicely (and because I don't want to dress the colonies as maids).
By the way, I changed my Peru's name from María to María Isabel; I'll refer to her as Isabel. Mainly because the headcanon Panama I use is named María too and I don't want confusions, plus I wanted to change her name. Her name is María Isabel Rodríguez.
Yes, when she was a colony, she had long hair and usually wore one braid. She cut her hair at some point of her life; still haven't decided when. It might have been when the peruvian-bolivian confederation was dissolved, but I'm not sure yet.
Hope you like it! uvu
